Date: Aug 01 - Aug 09, 2025
What is a Chuckwagon?
A chuckwagon is a horse-drawn wagon used as a mobile kitchen and supply vehicle, primarily in the American West during the 19th century. It was an essential part of cattle drives and other long journeys, providing food and supplies for cowboys and other travelers.

What is Cornbread Sue's Southern Frontier Chuckwagon?
Chris and Karen Brandenburg are a dynamic duo bringing a taste of the Old West to life. Karen, with her infectious smile and warm, charming personality, has spent years immersed in the food and beverage industry, honing her culinary skills and developing a true passion for cooking.

Chris's roots run deep in the traditions of the cowboy. Raised by a cowboy father, he learned to ride bareback before ever using a saddle, instilling in him the "cowboy way" and the code of the West.

A pivotal moment arrived when Chris and Karen acquired a covered wagon, lovingly built by a fellow church member before his passing. Combining Karen's culinary expertise with Chris's deep connection to the Old West, they decided to have a chuck box built onto the wagon, giving birth to their chuckwagon business.

With Karen at the helm of the chuckwagon kitchen, her delicious creations quickly earned her the nickname "Cornbread Sue" (her middle name is Sue), and thus, Cornbread Sue's Southern Frontier Chuckwagon was born. Karen's culinary prowess shines brightly, as Cornbread Sue has already earned the impressive title of a 5-time award-winning Chuckmaster.
